No. They are not.
They are startled at some dude running at them with one, hitting them on their extremely sensitive faces while they are just basking/resting.
Change them to dogs and it's not so funny anymore, is it? Don't hit animals with shovels (unless in self defense).

Here, I tried to age "Rexy" to see how she'd look like if she was older. Lots of grown bumps and scars.
I also made her duller in color like a lot of old reptiles. She's also a bit fatter after not getting enough exercise in captivity.

To a deer , a tiger is perfectly camouflaged into its surroundings and this is how they look
This is because their vision is similar to red-green colour blindness. This means they only pick up greens and blues and not oranges and reds.

Oh good question!
The gait in season 1 is the "lateral gait". Most mammals use it. The leg "kicks" the arm forward on the same side (look at your cat or dog walk).
In 2022, a new study proposed the "diagonal gait". Limbs of opppsite sides move at the same time (Hippos, Crocs).
So how did sauropods walk? Cuz in prehistoric planet they show two ways of sauropods walking.

We developed an upright stance, with a larger brain, and tool use, we had more efficient ways of obtaining and processing meat, thus large canines were selected against.

Though this particular case is rare, there's other instances of lion cannibalism.
I don't wanna hear any more "X theropod had bite marks belonging to the same species!! Therefore they couldn't have been social!! That's a mammalian thing!!" arguments.

Because this one did what Remakes should do: It took an old property that, altho a classic that I love, has plenty of space for different interpretations. Taking from the original book aswell as making it "Epic" in tone.

However, our results show that the population bounced back and quickly recovered demographically. In fact, we find that the population size and genetic diversity remained fairly stable up until its extinction 6,000 yrs later, showing that the population was not doomed after all!

Without a doubt one of the largest and most impressive dinosaur shows I’ve seen. The sheer size and realism they were able to pull off was astounding. Also keep in mind this is the carnivore only show, they have even bigger herbivores if you can believe it.

Now, it is true that "exaggerated" structures in animals are often driven by sexual selection, such as display or intraspecific combat. And it very well may have been the case here.
But it's not rare that those structures secondarily also work for defense.

I think the idea that it's claws would be useless in combat is outdated. They didn't need them for processing food because they had a long neck, and they lacked any other notable defences besides sheer size. It stands to reason the claws were a predator deterrent

A pair of Lokiceratops go for a morning bath/drink.
Took 3 weeks to make, but boy am I happy with the result! Still not 100% pleased with my background/foliage work, but this might be a step in the right direction.

One detail I definitely enjoy is that they sneaked in the pitched up lion roar of the Jurassic Park T.rex for the PhP rex.
I'd usually point it out as an issue on sound design, but here it fits. Pitched up lion roar sounds perfect for a realistic T. rex imo.

Ever since the Pinacosaurus paper last year, I don't doubt that large theropods could've roared, growled, bellowed mouth open or closed, etc.
It's a dinosaur far removed from birds, yet it had a kinetic larynx that could've allowed for avian-like noises.
