I’ve cleared my afternoon to go through every single amendment later today. I am sure my colleagues on all sides of this argument will be engaging similarly. But first I’m off out on the doors #LoveNuL 🇬🇧🌹
This morning, the amendments paper to the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill stands at 99 pages long- nearly 3 times as long as the actual Bill. More will doubtless follow- they only need to be tabled 3 days ahead of when the committee gets to that bit of the Bill.

Just finished a 2.5 hour surgery… One constituent came to tell me about the excellent care her 99 year old Mother received from our NHS after she fell and broke her hip. Despite its challenges, we are so lucky to have our beloved National Health Service #LoveNuL 🌹🇬🇧

This is a cause for real concern and doesn’t help us find the respectful consensus that we were promised. I hope colleagues who voted in favour of assisted dying and in the hope of a respectful debate are listening, learning and hearing these very legitimate concerns.
We said the assisted dying bill would be a slippery slope - that it wouldn’t stay at 6mo to live, and a terminal illness. Now members of the bill committee are putting forward an amendment to make it 12mo to live where there is a neurodegenerative condition

Grateful to all my @uklabour colleagues who spoke in the debate this afternoon. There was a real commitment to ending the days of empty words and broken promises to the people in our coalfield communities. We have much to do. #LoveNuL 🇬🇧🌹

Am on my way into Parliament for the final sitting day this week - then home time 🚆. Today, I will be leading the first Backbench Business debate on government support for coalfield communities - expect to be on my feet about 11:30 #LoveNuL 🌹🇬🇧

@AJogee you spoke very well, managed to catch it between meetings and choked up a bit hearing the poem read

Debate and discussion on the proposed changes is vital. For all of us.
If the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) bill is passed, it would be the biggest change that this country has seen for many decades, on the back of less than seven hours debate. In comparison, the fox hunting bill endured hundreds of hours of debate.

It’s vital that we tackle the health inequalities that make cancer worse and lead to people being diagnosed in the first place. I put this to the Minister in the Chamber yesterday. #LoveNuL 🇬🇧🌹
Today is #WorldCancerDay. I was pleased to join @Radiotherapy_UK and support their very important #CatchUpWithCancer campaign. Great to meet Bryan Robson too #LoveNul 🇬🇧🌹
