February wrap up 📚 .I was able to read 11 books in February which I’m pretty pleased with!. Not pictured here are Sourcery and Eric by Terry Pratchett which I listened to, and They Bloom at Night by Trang Thanh Tran which I read as an ebook!

Despite being a big fantasy reader I have never read any Terry Pratchett (I know, gasp!) So I decided to make 2025 the year I try and get some Pratchett in my life! My library has loads of the audiobooks, so I’m listening to them! Sourcery is first up, and I would recommend!

If you’re looking for a contemporary YA to sob your heart out to, I have just the book!. Pieces of Us by Stewart Foster is based on the author’s own experiences as a young man, and deals with some difficult topics including grief, death and eating disorders. Thanks @SimonBooks

My recent audiobook!. I have had Scavengers by Darren Simpson on my shelves for a long time, and finally picked it up as an audiobook from the library! .This is a very unique book about Landfill who lives in a rubbish site. Something very different from the usual middle grade!

The Tainted Cup is a 2024 release by another of my fave fantasy authors Robert Jackson Bennett. This is a crime/fantasy novel, the perfect combo in my mind! I couldn’t stop reading this one! @HachetteUK

Up first Assassin’s Apprentice by @robinhobb @HarperVoyagerUK .This is the first in the Farseer Trilogy, and was a reread for me in 2024. It is still a perfect fantasy; epic, thrilling and absolutely devastating!!

If you’re looking for a historical fantasy novel with a lovely slow burn queer romance look no further than Strange Beasts by Susan J Morris!. Set in the early 1900s Paris, this novel has fantastical beasts and chases in the catacombs of Franc! Thank you @hodderscape for the copy

I’m watching Black Doves on Netflix, and my god these characters have so many important chats about killing people in cafes and pubs!! Like is no one worried about being overheard?? It’s all I’m thinking about!.
