What I like about this list is that it can be generally applicable. Doing a PhD is not something entirely unique, you’re mainly developing skills in multiple dimensions, making you rather stand-out in the process.

Life is constantly going to throw things at you. You’ll be tested by people, you’ll be tested by your temptations, you’ll be tested in your work, you’ll be tested in your business. All these are to slow you down. Never react, keep your compass calibrated towards your purpose.
