@MissSassbox I kind of assume that man has to be the most qualified pilot in the entire airline.

@YIMBYLAND And a single block of houses isn't even the issue, no matter how pretty or ugly. It's that the houses go on for miles without a grocery store in sight. It's the reliance on cars because there isn't anywhere to be but in your own home.

@moderndaymachno @humblyhysteric @IwriteOK I hate to inform you of this, but when the constitution is broken, it's not broken evenly.

@JamesThrot "Brain damage doesn't turn someone into a bigot." I mean... it can. Why is it ableist to acknowledge that damage to the brain can cause problems? People in mental decline often lash out or act inappropriately. That's why it's called brain damage and not brain power-ups.

@halfheldsky My most controversial take is you are whatever you say you are. You wanna claim AFAB or AMAB as part of your story, do it. If you don't, don't. You aren't any more or less trans either way.

@livbrinalvr Every 2 weeks? Girl, you should tell your doctor about that. You might need a different form of birth control.

@LikeISays @DagwoodSamuel @mschlapp The ballot boxes in my area have cameras and sensors. They have automatic built-in fire suppression, too. But honestly, I just put my ballot in my own mailbox for the regular mail carrier to collect. NBD.

@stephdokin @JMeanypants Like what? Show me a secret fraud disclosed by DOGE, and I'll show you a publicly disclosed expense on

@JMeanypants OK, here's the problem: elections are not centralized. There is no single database of all votes. To rig an election in the US, you have to go almost county-by-county. Each location needs to be a separate election steal. It would be the largest conspiracy in US history.

@ndrogynefrot @devilscompiler @EricLevitz They only understand the stick, so the stick is the only thing with power in their eyes. They can't understand the carrot, so it's worthless to them.

@devilscompiler @EricLevitz Do you think viruses respect national borders? Stopping the global spread of disease IS stopping the spread of disease in the US.

@moderndaymachno @humblyhysteric @IwriteOK We actually can't send the national guard to attack ICE agents. As rad as that would be, it's not really a thing.

@CaileySmead @mayaisfiya You can't ask for a more active role and then hide behind "just following orders."

@BPDboymoder Depends on your age. I'm nearly 40. I could go back and never have worry about rent again forever. "Mommy? Daddy? For my 7th birthday, I want stock in this weird online bookstore. It's called Amazon. Like the river, yeah. Also, I can do trigonometry now."

@valentinavee I read all of this and I'm still confused: of audiences hate this so much (and we do), why do they insist on doing it? Just light the scene so we can see it!

@binarybits @hagaroo47 It also appears, from my 3 second search, to include lots analytical tools and tracking features. It sorts and tracks news and information by specific bill, etc. It seems like a completely valid product the government might use.

@DemonBeauregard @JamesSurowiecki It's not too small to steal--it's too small for you/anyone/everyone to reasonably expect personal understanding and agreement. 300 million of us can't all agree on every half million dollar expense of a $7 trillion budget.

@DemonBeauregard @JamesSurowiecki You posted about PoliticoPro subscriptions like it meant something. Half a million, a million--the numbers posted are ridiculously tiny.

@DemonBeauregard @JamesSurowiecki The federal government is responsible for moving over $7 trillion per year. If you think you will personally approve of every $500k expense, you're delusional.
