@Sean_Fernyhough I think even in the most exciting game there is a hell of a lot of padding. A match like the Brazil v Italy match of 1982 might not seem so good live if spread over 6 hours

@LemonKid1978 I think with players like Alf they tend to age a bit like a pear. One day fine the next day off. So if you get them towards the end of their career you often get caught a bit

@street1942 I think she’s a pretty girl. Bit cuddly but let’s be honest he isn’t going to be mistaken for George Clooney any time soon. Plus she’d be cheering him on if he was playing for a pub team on a Sunday morning

@Sean_Fernyhough Plus much as I’d love to see Lionel Ritchie do a half time show I could give it a miss if it meant I didn’t get home until 3 in the morning.

@CharlieBunyan I think a large proportion go to the Civil Service mandarins as a thank you for doing a very well paid job badly and I guess not many of them are commuting from Bolton

@TeaLadyJune Wagon Wheels etc etc. my favourite is the Dime Bar. Obviously it’s gimmick was it cost a dime. Keeping to that with inflation meant it was eventually the size of half a razor blade until they started calling it a Daim Bar
