Once I finish timing it, and before I finish uploading it, I then send this version to the
@Bada_albasubs
team, who have been working on translating and timing the captions in the meantime. They then add all their captions, editing and typesetting, but that all takes time 3/7

If you want my little T/Ns, then watch mine because they make the (probably wise) decision of deleting most of my random musings. If you love the captions and want to know what all of them mean, and maintained on original typesetting, absolutely watch theirs. 5/7

The version I release is done by only me. It's translated, timed, typeset, edited, etc, all by me alone. This is why there are sometimes mistakes, and also part of why I usually don't translate the on-screen captions, and why there isn't a lot of fancy editing or typesetting 2/7

So the aim for Fly to the Dance is to get up to date with the broadcast as quickly as I can, and then drop episodes on Thursday evenings, since the show broadcasts on Friday evenings. Will I be able to keep up until the end or will Harimu's screams destroy my eardrums first?

Really feel like not enough people are talking about Take 1 on Netflix. This should be a must watch if you love music, regardless of if you speak Korean or not. (And for Begin Again fans, Lena Park and AKMU both had episodes!)

Tbh... I really hate the translation "Sea of Hope" for 바라던 바다... and that last episode broke me a little when they painted "Hope" on that boat. Just little pedantic translation things XD

I'll be uploading the entire 85min file for E07, but only the last ~25 mins are subtitled. Season 2 had 2 teams, but I won't be subtitling the first team, and the "family band" starts in the last 25 minutes of E07, and continues through to E13.

First episode (7) will drop on May 18th, the 4 year anniversary of when it first aired, and episodes will (hopefully) drop weekly after that. So each ep will drop exactly 4 years since it aired. Purely coincidental, but when I realised, I moved my plans up a few weeks.

Begin Again Intermission (5) has started with a pretty crazy lineup. I do plan on subbing it but I'm unlikely to be able to keep up with broadcast dates so they'll upload as I finish.

FAQ: Why don't you translate the on-screen text?
A: That would increase the amount of time I spend on each episode by 3 or 4 times (estimate). It's double the translating, and a hell of a lot more timing and typesetting, which takes up a lot of time and effort. (1/2)

Don't worry BA2 fans - that's still ongoing. I'm nearly done with subbing the last episode of that so there will be no change to that release schedule. I haven't decided how I'll release FttD - it'll depend on how much I want to ruin myself

I highly recommend this show if you're a fan of any of the above, it's really wholesome and sweet with good banter.

Because I sub alone, and subbing for me is just a hobby, I just do what I can to get the meaning across - over 90% of the time, I don't think the on screen text adds significant meaning on top of what you see and hear, and when it does, I do sub it. (5/?)

The only time I really translate on-screen text is when they explain something that I feel otherwise isn't explained vocally or by watching the show - AND I feel that without knowing what that text says, you'd be confused/significantly decreases enjoyment (3/?)

Eg. Is your viewing pleasure really that damaged if you didn't know the weather was really nice and sunny and hot? I don't think so, and so I don't bother to spend 5 minutes translating, timing and typesetting something I can just move on past. (4/?)

Clearly, I was pretty wrong on this. But for what it's worth, BA Intermission's PDs and Writers are completely different from BAK and BA3
So many thoughts but foremost is "that's another nail in the Begin Again 5 coffin" - this is being led by the former BA/SoH/FttD PD

Begin Again Intermission has some really bad editing and I can't tell if it's the producers handicapping themselves by commiting to this interwoven concept, a lack of filmed footage or just genuine errors

I don't know. Dramacool just rips subtitles from other sources - they don't sub anything. If the show is behind a paywall, or geolocked, then that's one thing, but I always recommend you support fan subbers when you can - all my subs are free

I know I'm already a week behind but BAI E4 starting with a 3 minute montage of the other songs Yim Jae-beum already sang in the first 3 episodes is peak "who the fuck edited this" for me
