Clearly a mixed response to these recommendations. This was expected - in a world where new evidence emerges, surely change is needed? Also been interesting to see the general positive responses, by those who have been part of the broader discussions. Here's some rational (1);
The independent Board of the Rugby Football League have accepted 44 recommendations from the sport's Brain Health and Clinical Advisory Group Sub-Committees, as the latest and most wide-ranging phase of the drive to make the sport safer and more accessible at all levels.
A useful study for anyone working with youth rugby union players - physical differences between academy and school players (*although unclear if 🐓 or 🥚)
GPS monitoring in sport common & limited to simple summary outcomes - but has much more to offer
