@FairerShare But isn't your solution, which removes local council's ability to determine their own tax rates, a negation of local democracy?

A quarter to one in the morning and Conservative Peers are still forcing divisions in the @UKHouseofLords on footling amendments to the Great British Energy Bill. Oh, what a once great political party is reduced to ...

@LordNortonLouth I wonder why. Could you ask some Conservative peers who might be able to take some time out of speaking at inordinate length on amendments of marginal relevance to the Great British Energy Bill, to explain why they think the House of Lords is still sitting past midnight?

@VoteTimBarnes And I was picking you up on the fact you agreed it's "deeply contentious" to "stand with our LGBTQIA+ community". Why is that "deeply contentious" Tim?

Tim, you've reposted Paul Embery and agreed with him. What exactly is "deeply contentious" in what Tracy Brabin wrote? Explain please.
@PaulEmbery Quite true. The whole point of this platform is encountering people from across the political spectrum, making points, debating outcomes. If you want to just post a picture with a comment and no response, other platforms do that just fine
