I hate most of the irrational nonsense spouted by religion & I believe secularism is the way forward. I like it because it not only separates church from state, and hence freedom from religion, but it also protects the right to worship whatever god you like. That’s important too.

Justin Welby has resigned as archbishop of Canterbury after a review revealed he failed to act on reports of abuse. Welby said his resignation is in the best interests of the Church. Disestablishment would be in the best interests of both Church & state.
