@GeorgeMonks11 So we agree the universities fleecing the NIH for 50% of the total grants it receives is excessive.

@GeorgeMonks11 From my understanding the research isn’t being cut or defunded it’s the amount that the university receives above the amount of the grant for “overhead” and that’s the problem

@GeorgeMonks11 I have never filled one out but if the university has to come back and tack on another 50% something is wrong can’t you agree with that? I agree this will not be a good thing but neither is the status quo

@GeorgeMonks11 I said I agree and I understand Universities have an overhead cost such as staff devoted to compliance who gather the information they need to file reports to the government when they are due. But at 50%+ surcharge is excessive wouldn’t you agree?

@DerrickEvans4WV One key point is that this is not TREATED water so it would either need to be used for irrigation or stored so that it could be treated. You can’t introduce untreated water into the water system. So Newsom is partially correct as is Trump.
