It wasn’t just a case of lacking quality so this made no sense. Go throughout PL and tell me which clubs have 4 fit attackers (2 being a loanee + 17). Clubs mid table have more depth than us but title and CL contenders felt it was okay to go with this.

If told me the fantasy of Isak at 100m or 60m for Watkins, give me the latter all day. Reading between the lines it seems like we obsessed with 2-3 players and also the club aren’t willing to overpay on alternatives.
Worth a watch. Ornstein explains Watkins deal. - Villa came to us but we bid 40m - Had no interest going higher as it affect summer targets - If we were quicker and bid 60m, chance Watkins pushed for it. I really wonder if we end up regretting this.

Arteta, Rice, Odegaard all vocal about signings. All realise how you can’t waste seasons and want to win, don’t sense the thinking with the club. We are one forward injury away from a 17yr old playing heavy minutes and washed up Sterling being only back up. It’s negligence.
