Flew all the way to country just for her. Met up for lunch at a cozy chic cafe. Coincidentally, we both wore red. There was such a warmth about her. We held hands as we enjoyed some coffee and 'Ek ajnabi haseena se mulaqaat ho gayi' played on radio. We are marrying this year.❤️
Many of you have watched 'Squid Game' and must have remembered the salesman played by Gong Yoo. Back in 2011, he and Hwang Dong-hyuk, the director of 'Squid Game,' achieved something far more important: an example of using your privilege to do the right thing.

Time for some positivity in 2020. After an ordeal which lasted 567 days, my father has successfully beat cancer, FOR THE SECOND TIME ALHUMDULILLAH. Please keep him in your prayers. May Allah give you the longest of life, Dad and may you keep being a great human being!

The guy in black represents nitrogen. The guy in beige represents fuel. The girl represents oxygen. If you plot a ternary diagram, you can determine the synergy between them but for combustion only methane and oxygen are required hence the guy and girl at end.
Such brilliant art in

, a folk horror flick from the Malayalam cinema. Shot in black and white, it tells the story of a desolate mansion where escape seems impossible. Mammootty in fine form even at 72. Excellent cinematography. If you liked 'Tumbbad,' check this out.
I always dreamed of getting to study in the US one day, and after more than a decade, I'm finally here.
Excited to finally announce I'll be continuing to embrace the

Explain a movie plot badly.
I'll start:
A wife goes to Europe with her husband in search of her lover, just to tell her lover that she loves her husband.

Hi. I'm originally from 🇵🇰 and your info on essays and universities helped to me to get a headstart on my Masters, ty. I eventually settled in Texas A&M's Qatar Campus and they had info on Master's program, thought you could share, as it may benefit someone :)
Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I realize there's always more to life than work. Remember the time when I started listening to
@ChemBros
back in 2010 and always wished to see them live apart from Daft Punk. Six years later, I got my wish. Such an epic spectacle!
Back in undergrad, I used to compile and share study materials for various courses, as I always believe that everyone should have access to the same resources as everyone else.
Saw this on LinkedIn today, and this actually makes me so happy that I could impact so many people. 😭
Gong's humility in taking on this subject and Hwang's decision to make a feature film brought about needed reform and showed us all how to use one's privilege to do the right thing.
Penultimately into the thirties. A year older, a year wiser, a year stronger. Just thankful for the love and kindness of all my dear ones today. Love you all.
Iran, 2001. A serial killer convinced by his religious fanaticism of 'cleaning the filth' in the holy city of Mashhad.
Even with a simple screenplay, "Holy Spider" is a grim, brutal insight into the misogynistic bureaucracy of Iran, (which could even extend to other nations).

I remember that game in 2012, during Sir Alex's era when we faced Basel and lost 2-1 to them too. Got a lot of those vibes today, but tbf we were a man down today. We're gonna bounce back for sure bruv.

The white pods are basically quiet chambers, meant to perform ibadah in complete isolation if one wishes so. This is the Education City Mosque here in 🇶🇦 , and I perform my Friday prayers here until lockdown happened. They have sign language interpretation for khutbas as well.
Many people were outraged, and under public pressure, the 2005 case was actually reopened as a response to the film's release. New charges were brought against the culprits, and some finally received longer sentences.

Now what's next?
Israa's story is absolutely heartbreaking to read. People who kill in name of honor are absolute scum, and I hope her murderers are brought to face justice.
Fuck the patriarchal mindset.
With the stellar performances of the cast especially the children, 'Silenced' captured the sentiment of the loss of innocence to those who don't have a voice to demand justice. The movie opened to a huge public response and a subsequent outcry on how this atrocity persisted.
Meanwhile this from Ashutosh Rana, came in on my WA
A lesson in how to answer a cheeky question with oodles of wit, common sense, lashings of poetry, delivered with firm conviction, with a smile and with so so much style
Brilliant
Do watch
Gong read the novel and couldn't believe the level of injustice meted out to such childrenand decided to tell this story to the world. He approached many directors and reached to Hwang, who was initially hesitant but decided to make the novel into the 2011 movie 'Silenced.'
But the biggest change of it all, in that public pressure, the provisions where minors needed an elder's representation to prove their victim status reached the National Assembly of South Korea, where they finally passed the 'Dogani' Law and tightened those loopholes.

Or you can:
- Build shelters for needy
- Feed the hungry
- Teach the youth, give them a proper education
- Invest in finding solutions to global epidemics/diseases
- Supply poor with necessary provisions such as sanitation, clothes etc.
I mean, marriage can wait.

It took me time to unlearn the colonial ideology of good English = good presentation. Take stars like Messi for example, one of the most recognizable people on this planet, doesn't speak a word of English, just lets his skill do the talking.
Our boys got this!
This is such a beautiful picture. Praggu is a chess prodigy, became a grandmaster at the age of 12 (second-youngest age to do so). Entered the chess world cup semis. From a guy who didn't even have a webcam some 3 years back, you can see the pride in the Mom's eyes....
Gong Yoo is a huge star from Korean cinema, and has notably starred in films like 'Train to Busan,' 'Goblin,' among other works. Back in 2010s, during his mandatory military service, he came across and read Gong Ji-Young's 'The Crucible' (Togani in Korean).

was probably one of the big saving graces of Bollywood this year. Women written by women really can pack a lot and Anvita Dutt curates it with such finesse; the themes of patriarchy, validation and mental health. Tripti Dimri is remarkably so talented. And the music, uff!
@AbdelBeheri
Everyone grilled him upon his scuffle in Greece and how it affected his early performance. OGS defended him and kept his faith. Now Harry is integral for both club and country and a proper tank at the back. You love to see it.
Any overseas Pakistani thinking people in Pakistan should be grateful for back home as it's a whole struggle out there overseas: for fuck's sake, please. Recognize your privilege and sit this one the fuck out.
Hindi audiences may not know Prithviraj that well but he's one of the finest actors in Malayalam cinema, a cinema that at least has a spine compared to Bollywood.
This monologue alone deserves him an award. Highly recommend checking out the movie as well, its on Netflix rn.

As much as things went sour here, that one kid and teachers such as yourself still give me hope about the future generation. I'm glad they have a teacher like you to look up to and I'm also glad this kid is able to see and accept his faults rightly for the better good.
