if you knew the types of non-technical folks that have been hired by the EF, it would truly boggle your mind. imo they wouldn’t even be able to figure out who to hire for work like this. ‘don’t know what they don’t know’ type of situation, so mostly friends of friends will get the gig.

there’s also a deeper issue of technical folks in the ETH community who simply do not respect or value the opinions and expertise of marketers, creatives, etc. and think they can do it better themselves because they’re a “founder,” engineer, researcher, etc. improve that attitude and everything you’re describing becomes a lot easier.
