relay is undergoing load testing now.
We will never vertically integrate with a builder. The relay is neutral infrastructure, and allows the user full choice to broadcast to any combination of builders.
It's a failure of the Ethereum ecosystem that one month after the merge, there is still no neutral relay. All the relays that exist are vertically integrated builder relays.

Important milestone today with deployment of the xROOK contract, a keystone of COORDINOMICS.
We will soon be running the first live coordinator auctions using the DAO's keeper, before transitioning to new tokenomics and seeing the first competitive auctions.

The first component of the Coordination Game has been deployed to Ethereum Mainnet for final testing.

The value of MEV discovery is perhaps under-estimated. It can be a resource in its own right; it isn't being priced properly because the means don't yet exist for it to add value to the network in proportion to its sophistication.

If you are a protocol that wants to build good MEV stuff for Ethereum, there is a sense in which you are forced to stand around waiting for Flashbots to say what to do.

A friend said to me recently, channeling Steve Jobs, "if your protocol needs governance, you already screwed up".
I'd say minimization is a good heuristic, but not the sole solution. View gov as a cost, and there is a region of the design space where it adds net value.
I worry that the Defi community is talking too much about governance now. To me, they‘re optimizing for a local maximum. The real innovation in crypto is systems that don‘t *need* governance to function. Look beyond the hilltop!

I heard about KeeperDAO in February 2021 after becoming interested in MEV.
I bought some $ROOK, found the Discord, and took the same rough ride as everybody. Should have sold, but I rolled up my sleeves instead. I quit my job.

Underrated take. If we want crypto to survive, it needs to be more painful to ban it than to regulate it.
And regulating it is going to be a giant pain in the ass. Nothing has more "uh, ackshually" energy than crypto.
There are many tools that crypto supporters can use to promote good, pro-innovation policy at every level of government.
But there is nothing—absolutely nothing—that can have a bigger impact on policy than crypto-enabled products and services that millions of people want to use.
