10 yrs of experience. My resume has never been a problem. But for the last year, I can’t get an interview to save my life. And this seems to be the case for a lot of people. Both employed and unemployed. What is going on?

Hi, SMM here. We aren’t all interns & we do more than memes. But this sheds light on a problem in our world. No one understands SM marketing, even our bosses. So we are usually underpaid & doing 10 jobs for the price of 1- sometimes we are those teams.

As a marketing person who previously worked a bit in healthcare, it drives me insane how bad it is. My guess is whoever is actually in charge of marketing has their hands tied by those in charge that don’t want anything to be said or done.

Can be just as bad as dating these days. A few years ago I had an amazing group interview. Which felt more like an interrogation. But I nailed it. In the end, they ghosted and when I followed up the director told me I was TOO passionate. Will forever be confused by that one

This likely isn’t the case at such a large Corp. but it is signed social media specialist. Usually there is a manager above a specialist. So whatever they are saying could be coming from someone above them. Or even an agency. Regardless....not being handled well.

Turns out it’s not just me, or you. The market is in a weird place to say the least. Keep your heads up! I am gratefully employed, I’ve just been keeping an eye out for growth opportunities and noticed the struggles. I hope those laid off find something way before me!

I have tried to connect on LinkedIn once or twice with a message before/after applying. But nothing. I typically feel burdensome when doing it as I’m sure if their names are listed on the role, they get tons of messages.

You can also order an at home PCR from labcorp for $80. Was fast and simple. Results took 2 days. Wish they’d advertise that more bc our CVS doesn’t do them anymore and Walgreens didn’t take my insurance so this was cheaper.

I watched Good Trouble then went back and watched The Fosters. I’ve never seen the ending of a series done as well as The Fosters. It fast forwards to show every kid graduate and start their lives. Didn’t seemed rushed or anything.

I just said the same about Paxlovid. I’m infected for the 1st time. was in the ER bc I couldn’t breathe. Paxlovid took chest pain away immediately. But the side effects, taste, & amount sucks. Why did we stop w this treatment? Plenty of room for competition & a better option.

That is so me! I hate to feel burdensome to anyone so messaging hiring managers is cringy to me. Especially since at one point all the auto emails said in all caps “DO NOT EMAIL US.” But if it’s working, I might just have to suck it up!
