Among the 183 prisoners swapped for these hostages were: * Mansour Abu Awn, a Fatah member who was part of the Al-Aqua Matryrs' Brigades and was involved in several attacks, including the murder of a woman in the West Bank in 2001. He was also involved in an attempted suicide bombing, having equipped the would-be attacker (who was later apprehended) with an explosive belt. He was also responsible for the murder of three Palestinians suspected of working with Israel. * Iyad Au Shkeidem, a Hamas member who masterminded and initiated a series of suicide bombings inside Israel, including two suicide bombings on buses in Be'er Sheva in August 2004 that killed 16 people. * Izz al-Din al-Hamamreh, who was once a Fatah member but is now classified by the Israel Prison Service as identifying with ISIS.
