I paused #DailyMechanician in April last year, since there were other tasks I wanted to prioritize at the time. Life only got busier. Though still doubtful about tweeting daily again, I'm ready to slowly resume the mini project. Stay tuned!

#DailyMechanician Iskander Akhatov investigates dynamics & acoustics of multiphase flow, as well non-Newtonian fluids. A '01 work presented experiments of laser-induced cavitation in water & compared bubble dynamics models, noting the effect of non-vapor gas mixed inside bubble.

It was saddening to read this account of a hate crime experienced by Dr. Suk, a friend and colleague of my wife’s. The bystander apathy described here is heartbreaking. #StopAAPIHate

1/x Never thought I’d share this kind of story. Was at @nycgov for a family gathering and on the NYC subway, I was *physically* and *verbally* attacked by a woman who punched my side with her fist and yelled at me, saying ching chong, dumbass, f*ck,

#DailyMechanician Moritz Weber was a naval mechanics professor at today's @TUBerlin, in early 20th century. A proponent of similitude & dimensional analysis, he is accredited for coining the Reynolds and Froude numbers. Fittingly, a dimensionless number is also named after him.
