You’re both right, of course—some voters shifted due to retrospective voting, while others were influenced by broader cultural shifts, as seen in places like Florida.

@bjmoffitt These are, of course, related phenomena, but I find it striking how consistent the cultural predictors of radical right-wing support are. This goes beyond mere media influence, reflecting potentially broader cultural shifts or a deeper internalization such these values.
