Having worked with @sproule_ for much of the last 3 years, I can say that not only is he incredibly driven, he is also an absolutely cracked engineer on top of being one of the best systems level thinkers I have ever met in crypto. Ryan, and his co-founder @samrags_, have also both been extremely deep in open source software communities and in thinking about some of the largest problems facing them. All this makes the two of them some of the best—if not the best—founders to help open source communities capitalize and incentivize contributors in a fair and meritocratic way @merit_systems.
Today, it’s bittersweet to share that our colleague Ryan @sproule_ is moving on to a new chapter to build Merit Systems (@merit_systems) with his co-founder @samrags_ . We're going to miss Ryan at BCAP, but we're also extremely excited to co-lead Merit’s $10m seed round alongside our friends at @a16zcrypto and continue working closely with Ryan and Sam as founders in our portfolio!
