So I wore a Pride t-shirt and shorts to write my exam. To me, it was a powerful way to say that I was not broken and I am still going to get that degree. And I am going to do it loudly and proudly!!!!
"Homosexuality is as African as the baobab tree and as Zimbabwean as the Great Zimbabwe ruins"
Do not let colonial myths and colonial inherited laws, values and belief systems make you believe otherwise. You are African through and through.
Happy Africa Day Queer Africans ❤️🎉
Transgender Awareness Week
Today, I'm celebrating you for continously asserting yourself. For choosing to be seen and heard for who you really are even though it takes away so much from you.
But above all, for being happier than ever! Someday❤️
F1 is me in August 2021 and F2 is me in August 2022. I enjoyed recreating this look as a celebration of how far I have come in this journey of learning about myself and also learning to love myself in the process.
A shitty welcome to Zimbabwe (a thread)
So on Saturday I was coming back to Zim after an amazing experience outside. A friend and I just decided to go and party a bit by Eclipse, it was already around 11 pm.
I remember in high school, me and this rich friend of mine both registered four O' Level subjects in June.
He got 2 B's and 2Cs and I had 4As. His parents bought him a car to celebrate and when I showed my mum my results, she just said
"now we wait for the rest"
HAPPY IDAHOBIT🏳️🌈❤️
Our bodies ; are beautiful and we are proud of them
Our lives; we live them to the fullest
Our Rights; we are still struggling for them.
Say no harm. Do no harm. Trans people are beautiful
Transcending Boundaries : Being Transgender in Zimbabwe is a documentary that shares the story of Sunflower. A nuanced conversation about the trans experience in a conservative and complex social setting.
To watch the full documentary visit:
If there is anything to learn from the whole nudes and sex tape leak is that men will walk unscathed whilst we are about to endure a week of moralizing, misogyny and sexism.
I hope Shashl is okay❤️🔥
(They told me to come in formal, so I did😅)
Thank you so much for the love and the family I have developed on here. This might be my last post in a while, I'm taking a break to focus on myself and think about what this year has meant to me and what I want the next to look like
It actually is. All the people I saw on TV were gay. All the couples I see on the streets are gay. My parents are gay. At church they said "be gay" and they are like Billboards on the sides of Roads that say "Gay is Better" "Be gay for clear skin"
Whomst am I to resist the trend
I don't like most Christians, does it mean I want them to be jailed? No. Do I want them to be stigmatized, discriminated and violated and persecuted? No. Do I want them robbed of their human rights and dignity? No.
Because not liking someone starts and stops where someone's
When you are invited to a Pride Party you show off all your Pride. My heart is full, my body is exhausted 😂😂💀💀 and on that note, I need to quit somethings this July.
But thank you June it's been pretty queer 😊❤️
It's not lost on me on how so many queer people in this country are striving to advance economically and professionally not only because their safety depends on the independence and self sufficiency but also because they acceptance depends on it.
We stay winning. Despite the homophobia and transphobia that we have to endure from students and sometimes even lecturers.
Education is not a preserve for certain kinds of people. Despite all we have to go through, we will persevere until the end☺️❤️!
Me showing up to school next week pretending as if half my classmates didn't see my doccie coming out as transgender over the holidays 💀💀💀!
Whuuu, Chile what an interesting few days it's about to be
Growing up thinking you are ugly or unworthy does a number on you. You fall for every person who makes you feel beautiful or worth something for the first time.
To all my future parents, make sure that your children know that they are beautiful, they are loved and worthy❤️!
Y'all better live
@samsmith
alone. This is clearly nothing but homophobia and fatphobia. And it's even sad that some people that should also be called out are community members.
Weight watching has been used to harass womxn for years. STOP IT!
I'm going to be a part of the UZ Law Students journal and I'm pretty stocked about it.
My role is basically to write journals expressive of the opinions or views or analysis or suggestions of law reform, from the point of view of queer law students aggh😭😂
Her cruel death just reminded me of how women and openly queer people have to always navigate the world thinking about our own safety because MEN like him are allowed to behave like animals and walk scot free.

Fear of being called "gay" will be the death of straight men. One of my room mates woke up and said "did you sleep well to the other one"
After a second, "okay, that's so gay. Don't answer"
I'm wheezing 😂😂😂💀💀! Simple communication and courtesy is being gay now?
Happy National Girlfriend's Day to all the womxn on this app. Y'all are beautiful, y'all are powerful, y'all are amazing, phenomenally phenomenal women.
It's been a pleasure to interact and follow a lot of you❤️❤️🥹.
Growing up queer is so hard because with all the hatred and stigmatization surrounding you, you grow up feeling like something is wrong with you.
And it either totally destroys you or you overcompensate. For me, I was the exemplary moral, high achieving kid.
I'll forced be grateful to
@STH_JRDN
for the advice you gave me when I told you about the gender dysphoria that I was experiencing.
In the last few months you've literally transformed my life in ways I have never even imagined possible. And you have checked up on me too always
So today I got harassed by the rank when I was about to go home and again I was reminded how precarious our positions as queer people are.
All it takes is one person to act crazy and the veld fire is lit. I'm still processing it but I'm okay my friends were there.
Okay, don't be annoyed. It's the last ones 💀💀. It's been a time, thank you South Africa for affirming a girl even for these few magical days during Pride Month.
#PrideMonth2023
My mom doesn't know that every day I'm wearing a crop top under a big goodie or light light brown lip stick under colourless lip gloss and eye liner
And every night, I transform to Cinderella. Ways I affirm myself even in the most unlikely environments
