Hot Take: Volk didn’t lose the 2nd Islam fight because it was on short notice, he lost cause Islam is just better. it was a text book kick thing, not a short notice thing. he just set up the high kick perfectly and it caught him.

Even Pereira tho people argued was an early stoppage because of how quickly Jiri recovered 😭 considering how his other fights have gone it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Jiri could’ve kept going and possibly came back had goddard not stepped in
