Cold email changed again Fix these 5 things before your reply rates drop: 1. Wait time between emails Most sending tools like Instantly default to 1-minute intervals. That means your entire sending volume for the day gets used up within the first minutes of the morning. Google sees this pattern now and flags you as spam. Solution: Increase the delay for each inbox to 7–10 minutes per email. 2. Not using spintax Google can now instantly tell when 90% of your email is the same. Most tools support Spintax which automatically swaps out words to create hundreds of variations. Use it (it's not optional anymore) 3. Warm-up settings too low Inbox warm-up is a must while sending cold emails. It keeps your inbox reputation healthy. What works even better now? Increasing the reply rate of warm-ups in your settings to 50-70% while sending cold emails. That means Google sees you get "more replies" and trusts you. 4. Selling in the subject line Your subject line has one job: to get the email opened—not to sell your service. Keep it vague with a personalization. Example: "Thoughts, {{firstName}}?" 5. Using Google or Microsoft Inboxes - Both providers actively fight against spam - They’re expensive - You don’t get any deliverability support, you won't even know when your domains are flagged Solution: Consider setting up some inboxes with private cold email infrastructures like Mailscale. - Automated domain & inbox creation - 80% cheaper - You get better results with guaranteed deliverability We also monitor and manage your deliverability now so you can focus on closing deals.
