@Josh_Eastman23 @mgio35 @mvrxoz @LegionHoops Playoff ball way different than regular season ball in the NBA. Way the game is played is different, way itâs officiated is different. Wish the regular season was more like the playoffs but thatâs unfortunately not the case.

@McCainWrld @30GotNext Itâs cuz he doesnât play and when he does he just flops the entire game.

@MalikThr33sly Doc Rivers has been nothing but a very bad head coach for the past 15 or so years. Astonishing that he continues to get jobs, and just an astoundingly bad hire by the Bucks.

@JiminFlorida25 @itsAntWright Why would Dusty go to Indiana lmao. Michigan is the much more successful program this century.

@FB_goatlake @yelichfans You can be good enough to make the playoffs without being good enough to take that jump to being a true contender without bringing in more pieces.

I also expect a Sweet 16, and yeah, we probably couldâve gotten a top shelf head coach after Bo retired. But whatâs done is done, and what happened 10 years ago shouldnât dictate what we do now. Frankly, if we fire Gard there arenât any realistic options to hire that are better than him.

I acknowledged that Gard needs to succeed in the postseason, and I have confidence that heâll be able to do that in the near future. Even last year he was able to make the b10 tourney final. But itâs dumb to ignore all of the success heâs had because of a handful of bad games in March. Gard is a significantly more successful coach than Dick Bennett. Bo and Izzo are two of the best coaches of all time, so yeah, he isnât as good as them. And Gard has handled the transfer portal and NIL significantly better than Tony Bennett did. Tony was a good coach in his time, but doesnât work with the modern NCAA.

Penney is coaching at UW, and is great in his assistant role. He was a great hire by Gard, but has nowhere near the experience to be a head coach at this stage of his career. And sure, Iâm not gonna try to argue that Gard is as good as one of the ten greatest head coaches in basketball history. That doesnât mean he should be fired.

@doe418737 @RightWingEgr @badgerbarstool @BadgerMBB Yeah because it worked so badly with Frank. If only he wouldâve turned into a good player by the end of his career.

What coaches have you seen consistently do less with more? And by the way, winning isnât âBS.â And yes, I agree that his failures in March matter. However, I think itâs dumb to ignore a much larger sample size of success for a smaller one of failure. Bo wasnât immediately successful in march either! If we fire Gard, who do you think we could get thatâs actually better?
