After 224 days in the NICU my baby fucking did it!! She graduated and moved floors! She will still be in the hospital for 3-4 weeks on the transitional floor but she is out of the NICU 7 months & 11 days later 😩😭😍🥰🥳❤️

Today my sister came with me to the NICU & after I was done changing Ruby’s diaper I sat down next to her & she looked upset. I asked her what’s wrong & she said “I don’t want to say it or else I will cry” so I’m like say it!! & she goes “..I’m just so happy you’re both alive” 🥺

I’m not going to the NICU support group again lmao this woman whose daughter is 11 months, NICU graduate, came to the meeting 20 min late & said her daughter was up in the PICU because she had RSV. No mask. Just walked into a NICU support group after leaving her baby with RSV lol

My grandma comes down to the hospital every couple of days and takes my dirty clothes and then brings me clean clothes and just does my walks with me, talks with me, hangs out with me for a couple hours. She lives 50 min away. I’m so lucky I have her 🥺

When we went to go say goodnight to Ruby last night someone handed us this card and said that a family who had graduated the NICU wanted to give all the families currently in the NICU a little card for Christmas 🥺 this is so sweet. The cover of the card makes me cry 🥺

Last night when I went to visit her she was all bundled up and I was so surprised just how much she had around her but I guess it makes sense going from the womb to the nicu mimicking that environment to keep her warm and comfy

My beautiful Ruby Rae 💖 her surgeries went great today, she will now be sedated and paralyzed for a week so the trach and g-tube can heal without her moving. I’m in awe of how far she has come. I’m so proud of our baby every day, but especially today 😭🎀

She likes to have her hands out but her nurses are like “we want to leave them out but we just can’t trust her” bc she will try to pull her tubes out 😂 so when we are there she gets to have one hand out for us to hold and she’s so content and falls right to sleep 🥰❤️

Ruby is getting her trach & g-tube surgery tomorrow morning 😭❤️ please keep her in your prayers!! We’re so proud of our girl & how far she has come. One HUGE step toward going home. Once she gets this it could be as little as 4-6 weeks till she FINALLY gets to come home 🥺🙏🏼❤️

10 years ago I got diagnosed with cancer for the first time. I never would have imagined I would get diagnosed with it again almost 10 years later. And definitely not while I was pregnant. I can’t believe these are the cards life decided to deal me. Hahahaha wtf

Still 25-30% cancer. Not full remission. But that is still better than 90% ❤️🩹 I am being admitted to the hospital tomorrow or the next day to start immunotherapy, I’ll be there 8-10 days. My doctor wrote in my notes that I have privileges to go see Ruby in the NICU every day. ❤️

Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House is taking all the families to Disneyland on Saturday we got the call today saying we for sure got 4 tickets for our family & we’re going 😭❤️ oh my goddddd and right before my older kids are going back to Vegas in a couple weeks too 😫❤️

Today I am officially 5 years (and 1 day) cancer free. 🎉 We have been celebrating the whole time this past week! This is such a huge milestone, my chances of cancer ever coming back has dropped drastically, and I feel like I can finally close this chapter of my story (continued)

My transplant coordinator called me this morning and told me that I have SEVERAL BONE MARROW MATCHES off the registry for my bone marrow transplant 😫❤️🙏🏼 I can’t believe it, I was so scared about not being able to have a match and now I know for a fact that I have SEVERAL 🥺🥹❤️

I’m crying, I have an appt at UCLA today so I just went up to the NICU & left 20 of these cards plus a couple special ones for our social worker, favorite NP & a little basket of stuff for her night time primary plus a bunch of cookies. I can’t believe it’s over for us at UCLA 😭

There’s this charity called Once Upon A Room and they’re going to decorate Ruby’s little space in the NICU tonight 🥺❤️ they asked us how we wanted them to decorate it and I said butterflies and flowers and pink white and red. I’m excited to see what it’s going to look like 😭

Ruby is ready to move rooms any day now! As soon as bed opens up on the transitional floor she will be leaving the NICU 😭❤️ she’ll still be in the hospital for 3-4 weeks on the transitional floor but this week we will have a NICU graduate 😭❤️

Yesterday I did a breathing test that they’re sending to insurance to get approval for the transplant called a pulmonary function test & the lady was so impressed with me she was like wow you have amazing lungs they are going to love this!! You are the best patient I’ve had!

My belly really just popped out of no where 😍 I was doing my walk last night around the floor & one of the nurses said “you really look pregnant today” & another nurse wasn’t looking & her jaw dropped, she thought she was just telling someone they randomly looked pregnant 😂

At the beginning of all this, I was able to find & get connected with 2 other women who had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia while pregnant as well. All of our babies are alive & well. One of them is getting her bone marrow transplant next week. I’m so happy for her 😭❤️

NICU nurses are either the meanest ladies ever that will stand up for your baby against everyone else in the hospital or they are the sweetest baby voice talking ladies who are so gentle and sweet. Either way they are the best humans ever & I love them all so much

I’m getting discharged from the hospital in a little bit and Scotty, Jamo and Alessandra are going to pick me up. So on our way out of the hospital we’re going to go to the NICU and my daughters are going to meet for the first time 😭❤️

My school called me yesterday asking if I wanted to re enroll because I only have 61 hours left & I told them my situation, they said they will call me in 6 months & check in to see where I’m at, but that my time won’t expire and I can come back and finish whenever I’m ready 🥹❤️

Oh the doctor let me go outside yesterday for mental health 😭❤️ she said every day if the baby goes a 2 hour stretch without any heart rate drops I can go 1 hour off the monitor. So I have time to shower then go downstairs & walk outside, go to the cafeteria, whatever I want 🥺
