Additional work is currently being done on our DHCP servers in response to an ongoing outage which may be affecting UTOPIA customers' ability to connect at present. We appreciate your patience while these issues are being addressed.
We're getting many reports of some issues with Utopia connections; while there definitely appears to be an outage, at the moment there is not much information available. We'll certainly let you know more as we know more.

Last night's UTOPIA outage was due to a faulty network card in a core switch. Reseating the card temporarily restored service until the card was replaced at 1:30 this morning.

We are aware of a large outage affecting Utopia customers in Layton, Orem, Lindon, and possibly Centerville and Tremonton.

Human error caused a brief critical network outage from approximately 2:52 to 3:01 p.m. A network administrator was configuring some new routing equipment pending some big upcoming upgrades.

Our UTOPIA gateway router was failed-over to a fresh reboot at 8:43 this morning. If your service was interrupted, you may have to reboot your router again.

Hi Nick, we're using 2607:24c0:2000::/38 for Yellowstone Fiber. Make sure to set your router to use DHCPv6 with Prefix Delegation, you can get an /64 or a /48 from our DHCPv6 server. Feel free to reach out to our support for further assistance!
Due to one of our upstream networks performing emergency maintenance, we've had to switch some of our redundancy transits, which may have higher latency than our preferred connections

There is an outage currently effecting UTOPIA customers in the Murray and Midvale areas. UTOPIA is currently looking into the issue, there is no ETA at this time.

UTOPIA is reporting an outage affecting ~600 customers in Centerville, UT. Their engineers are currently investigating, please watch this space for updates as they are received.

Good Evening! UTOPIA has made me aware that there is a current outage in Layton. We are working on getting an ETR. I'll make sure to tweet that as I have it.
Due to spammers abusing an exploit on a legacy mail server, XMission must migrate remaining customers to our newer webmail server immediately rather than more slowly as previously planned. The migration will commence as soon as some custom bulk migration tools are completed.

UPDATE: Our network admins indicated one of our core routers crashed. It has since been rebooted and has come back online. Connections should start reconnecting. If you continue to have issues please power cycle your WiFi router.

There are currently known routing issues for some of our Utopia customers. Our networking team has been investigating, and has determined the issues are only affecting customers using a specific IP block. We will continue investigating until a resolution is reached.

Hi, Nathan. These router upgrades will bring with IPv6 to our residential UTOPIA customers --both PPPoE and DHCP, and is scheduled to be rolled out to customers in the near future. Keep an eye out for announcements from us soon!
Customers using a PPPoE static configuration may be having issues establishing a network connection at present. Our network admin is working to get this resolved, but at the moment we do not have an ETA.

XMission hosted email has single server experiencing inbound slowness due to stalled backup process, affecting a few thousand mailboxes. We anticipate inbound delay to continue into evening. No mail will be lost, only delayed to Inbox delivery. Outbound messaging not affected.
