@kokila_ala @Tesla @aelluswamy I got 12.6.3 pushed 2 days ago. Tesla asking me to install every time I put the car in park. Nope… not making that mistake again. 12.6.1 works and I am sticking with it. Only tried to run red once so far. Much better than phantom breaking PTSD of 12.5.4.2😁

@John14049 @Deandawiz What's up with Tesla people recommending an upgrade? Not everyone who owns a Tesla wants to upgrade every couple of years. Not everyone is that financially irresponsible.

@KELgee420 @nth_howardw I think each FSD version does very well on in certain areas and much worse in others. I think if Tesla could run different Models for each area training only on data from that area, FSD would be solved by now. When @Tesla_AI try to fix one area, they end up breaking another area.

@BP1T288446 @nth_howardw 12.5.4.2 didn't break for 10% of the green lights for you? Wow, I've never heard of this. I have PTSD from 12.5.4.2.

I don't think they have different FSD teams, and these two versions are minor adjustments. I have noticed that every time Tesla tries to do a minor bug fix, they end up breaking something even bigger. That is why I am refusing to install 12.6.3 in my car. I have 12.6.1 and it is almost perfect. Why (potentially) ruin a good thing?

@FSDdreams @Tesla_AI @aelluswamy I have noticed that the more @Tesla_AI tries to improve the version by nudging weights in a minor dot release, the more this kind of weird bug starts to pop up. There is always a side effect of "fixing" something that came naturally to the Model initially.

That means those cars got a version that contains 12.5.4.2 FSD. That doesn’t mean all those cars have FSD subscription. If they were to subscribe today they would get 12.5.4.2. Tesla prioritizes FSD owners or subscribers for FSD updates. Other people get other software features first without latest FSD version.

@doug_zimmerer @SantoroSystems This is exactly why I am sticking with 12.6.1 and refusing to install 12.6.3. Basically, don’t fix something that aint broken. I will live with 12.6.1 until they release the next major version of FSD for HW3 or retrofit.

@SantoroSystems I got 12.6.3 pushed to me yesterday. But, 12.6.1 is so good for me that I am not installing 12.6.3, just in case it introduces bugs like 12.5.4.2 did.

@teslascope I just got this version pushed to me. What are the caveats of choosing to not install this bugfix dot release? 12.6.1 is working flawlessly for me and I don’t want to ruin it like what happened with 12.5.4.2. Thoughts?

@vasalex93 @TimDOES @aelluswamy @Tesla_AI It happened to me for the first time this morning with FSD 12.6.1 -- It started moving forward ~20 seconds before the light turned green. That being said this is by far the best version in HW3.

@FSDdreams Happened to me this morning for the first time. 20 secs before the light turned green the car started creeping forward. I immediately took over. There were cross traffic even after I took over. Yet, 10x better than 12.5.4.2.
