Remember folks, when they try to convince you the rich people paying $10M for the status of a 2,000 sq ft home in Georgetown will move to Gaithersburg if we raise their taxes by 500 bucks, you can just laugh at them. A millionaire tax is a great thing for DC.
I have long believed that our wealthiest residents should be asked do the most for those in need. We are adding progressivity to the property tax, which disproportionately burdens lower-income residents. These tax changes are necessary and put us on the right path.
