A sudden failure during the static fire test of a Tianlong-3 first stage by Space Pioneer, which issued a statement saying structural failure at the connection between the rocket and test pad was the reason. Tian Long 3 is a large liquid rocket which is as capable as Falcon 9.

The first batch of Chinese humanitarian aid to Ukraine has arrived in Chernivtsi On March 11th. These aid include blankets, towels, tableware, buckets and other daily necessities. 5 million yuan worth of supplies from the China Red Cross will arrive in multiple batches.

I am so excited to see China's Mars mission off at the site. China's Long March 5 carrier rocket along with its Mars probe has been moved to its launch pad on Friday morning. After around 7 months of flight, the probe is expected to reach the red planet around Februray 2021.

#Queqiao2 has completed near-moon #braking ! After about 112 hours flying toward the moon, the #relay satellite carried out a braking operation at a place about 440km away from the lunar surface on Monday. 19minutes later, it entered an elliptical frozen orbit around the moon.

Congrats to Japanese #SLIM successful landing on the moon. While Solar panels seems not working well. Scientists are working on it. Anyway this mission made Japan become the fifth country to land it's spacecraft on the moon after the US, the former Soviet Union, China, India.

Look, Ice on #Mars . The #Tianwen1 orbiter captured these partial images of Mars' north polar region in Nov. 2021. The 81.4 kilometer-wide Korolev crater is located in the upper right corner. And in the center of the ice-filled crater is an ice sheet that is 1.8 kilometers thick.

Congratulations to Wang Yaping, who has become China's first female taikonaut working in space for 100 days. She is now in the Shenzhou 13 mission, a six month mission started from Oct.23 2021, and she went to space from June 11 - June 26 in 2013 as a crew member of Shenzhou 10.

Another re-usable rocket test from #CASC . A 3.80m-diameter r-eusable verification rocket model completed a vertical takeoff &landing test at about 1 pm on June23 at #Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The maiden flight of China’s 4m-diameter re-usable rocket is expected in #2025 .

The installation of the main reflector for the antenna system of a 40meter-aperture #radiotelescope in #Shigatse has been completed. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024, with very-long-baseline interferometry ( #VLBI ) observation capabilities in early 2025.
