Yes, that is true. But the blockchain industry moves much quicker since you can deploy a new financial asset really quickly. People will also dump with no mercy to make a buck. If you want to use ZK proofs in your apps to make a computation succinctly verifiable, just remember to build your proofs as if you are verifying mathematical statements rather building a program. This framing actually could literally make your arithmetic circuits much smaller by a huge margin.
