@DancingFoxCrea1 Start with figuring out if you're writing a contiguous story (Lord of the Rings) or something more episodic with an overarching story tying them together (Harry Potter). The plotting for each is different, so it's important to have that baseline set.

@king_reinhardt Then I wouldn't worry about it. Readers need those sweet soft moments to relax, so that later tension has more impact. 😊

TFW you're skimming through the draft you just finished to double check you hit all the plot points, and come across a particularly neat turn of phrase. I'm having one of those "Wow, I wrote that? How? That's so good!" moments. It'll last until I come across a horrific typo.😂

I'm so close to finishing the draft of the main plot line! So close! Still have now idea what I'm doing with the subplot, but still! I want to be able to say "I'm done," so very badly. 😩

@timmckay52 For me, I need to pick up my writing pace, because even if I publish 3 books a year for the next 10 years, I won't get all my ideas done and out into the world, and those damn ideas breed like bunnies. 😅

@king_reinhardt I'm nearing forty and I feel like I'm just starting to really hit my stride. This obsession with making it while young is ridiculous, and puts so much pressure on young dumb kids who deserve to be young dumb kids, not highly successful peak adults. 🤷‍♀️

@austinjbooks Nope. I say that all the time. I may have one or two books in the WIP queue that are because of this. 😅
