My prayer for all of us as I hear of the attack in New Orleans is for peace. I remind us all that peace is often won after a hard battle. So pray and prepare. Offer your life to God to do with as he will. May we all kneel in obedience to our calling. Happy New Year!

I've been struggling to understand the reaction to people getting fired from jobs & it hit me that the younger folks may not have experience w/ work place violence of my generation. Simply put their behavior online is text book red flags for potential work place violence.

Over the last 4 months I have surrendered my life to God. Praying the rosary daily, scripture reading almost daily (working on it), studying scripture, etc. God is showing up in ways that range from so small to HUGE. I so love God. Jesus is the way. The only way.

Attended 8 am mass today. We got there 15 minutes early and had to park much farther away than we usually would. Awesome to see so many people at mass! Especially since it is the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross. A great homily by Father Kevin. God is so good.

The brutal beheading of a hardworking Indian American immigrant in front of his wife & son is horrific. The murderer had multiple prior arrests for violent theft & child endangerment & was undocumented. He should not have been free on American streets.

I don't feel bad about people losing their jobs for posts that were celebrating evil. The reason is that a sane person doesn't do that. It is actually a warning sign for people in authority. A red flag that the person is capable of harming themselves or others.

I am 56 yrs old & read the Bible front to back for the first time two yrs ago. I have been studying it ever since. If you don't have one go get one & just read like a novel. Don't worry anything that has you scratching your head. Just read it. Then study it.
