🌱 Grassroots Economics - Book Published!🌱 After years of learning, listening, and working alongside incredible communities, I’m thrilled to share Grassroots Economics: Reflection and Practice—a book exploring how we can rebuild trust, pool commitments, and create resilient economies from the ground up. This journey has been made possible by the generosity of countless teachers, communities, and supporters. Special thanks to Kevin Owocki (& Gitcoin) and Béla & Ellen Hatvany (Mustardseed Trust) for believing in this work. 📖 Read more and download the book here:

I sense the shift from service provisioning (which implies pricing and accountability) to ideological justification (which abstracts costs, speculation and incentives). Lemme try to understand better - here are some thoughts on your points: Service providers aren’t inherently profit-seeking or silos – Such as liquidity provision, mutual aid and reciprocity sustain resource flows beyond revenue-driven silos. Value shouldn’t be “captured” – Healthy ecosystems cycle resources or risk risk centralizing and stagnating wealth. Splitting value is transactional – You can as well enable asynchronous reciprocity, not market-based division. Fair access is more than governance – Social trust and embedded reciprocity prevent disputes before they arise. Economies of scale aren’t the goal – Resilience through modular, polycentric coordination ensures sustainability. Are we operating within an extractive logic, or to regenerate abundance through shared trust and reciprocity? And nearly everything you've stated can as well be looked at as a service: e.g. Capturing value = Accounting service? Splitting value = Distribution service? Governance access = Arbitration service? Economies of scale = Efficiency service? Your response was educational for me to understand the DAO drivers, thanks. 🙏

@positonic @DisruptionJoe If you were to frame as a service provider. What would those services be and how much would you charge for them? Is there a utility token model possible here for subscriptions, access, etc.?

An Ode to Social Media I scrawl my name on bathroom stalls, where voices echo, laughter falls. A neon whisper, fleeting bright, a secret shared beneath the light. I write love poems on the Titanic’s hull, knowing the waves will wash them dull. But still, I carve, I stain, I sing— for words are birds with broken wings. And in the pipes beneath the throne, I tap out sonatas, lost, alone. Morse code melodies flush downstream, vanishing like half-heard dreams. These walls, these waves, this hollow air— they mock, they drown, they do not care. But if one stranger stops to see, to hum along, remember me, then every stroke, each fading note, was worth the ink, the time, the hope. For voices bloom where roots take hold— in soil, not screens, in hands, not gold. So paint your lines, but plant your feet. Find love in faces, not in tweets. Let echoes wander, fade, or grow— then turn, and greet the ones you know.

Great article: Deeply aligned with our work at @GrassEcon! 🌱 @mbauwens vision of #BrahminWorkers resonates with commitment pooling—AI & crypto as tools for cosmo-local commons, not oligarchs. The future is peer-to-peer, regenerative, and cooperative. 🔄🌍 #CommonsEconomy

In times of eroded trust, we have a choice—not to destroy, but to rebuild. 🐝 A Pollination Rebellion spreads trust like pollen, nurturing cooperation, resilience, and shared stewardship. From grassroots action to collective renewal, we restore what’s precious. Let’s plant the seeds of trust and watch our communities flourish together. 🌱
Did you know that USAID, using YOUR tax dollars, funded bioweapon research, including COVID-19, that killed millions of people?
