if u want to lose WEIGHT, u should eat below ur maintenance. u don’t have to count macro’s or workout. you’ll lose fat, muscle, hair, ur will to live, but at least ur losing weight. there’s nothing wrong with just focusing on just wl, but if u want to look better i recommend fl.

tdee = total daily energy expenditure (amount u burn while active) .bmr = basal metabolic rate (amount u burn at rest). 1lbs of fat is 3500 kcal.1kg of fat is 7700 kcal. meaning u have to be 3500kcal under ur tdee to lose 1lbs.

u can devide this over the time i want to lose. i recommend high res for sustainable wl! . ex. 1lbs in 1 week. 3500/7 days = 500kcal. u can calculate ur tdee and bmr with calculators on the internet. tdee - 500 = intake.

losing muscle and holding on to stubborn fat!. first important thing to get rid of fat is work out, and not just cardio! . ofc cardio is important for losing visceral fat (fat stored deep inside the belly, wrapped around the organs, including the liver and intestines).

why is it so impossible to maintain muscle? . - muscle is heavier than fat (u can be skinnier at a higher weight.- more muscle = higher bmr .- you’ll be more toned & u can train certain body parts to appear smaller/bigger.- you’ll feel stronger/more energized!.

now here comes the difference between wl and fl. when undereating ur body starts using stored fat as fuel, but when ur not eating enough protein to maintain muscle ur body will use ur muscle’s as fuel as well. this will result in faster wl but it’ll make u skinny fat since ur—.

in march and early april (58 -> 54,5) i lost a lot but then i went inpatient lol (hospital bc hihi) i had 2 stay 3 weeks die to low heart rate and they made me gain to 58,5kg.

cardio is also important for a higher tdee, so definitely include cardio. it’s not the most important for fl tho. u want to maintain/build muscle. u can do this by weight lifting, body weight w/o’s or low impact w/o’s such as pilates (or a combi ofc).

i get most of it from: .- greek yoghurt, pea protein powder, tuna, eggs, lentils, tofu, beans. other ex. lean meats (chicken etc.), diary products, whey protein. i can’t stress enough how important protein is for fat and weight loss. u can’t eat enough of it.

oh no, u hit a plateau!!! . no problem, just up ur intake for a week or 2. yes u might not lose a lot those weeks, but your body will get a “shock” and raise ur bmr. i’m not telling u to start eating thousands of calories, just eat at maintenance for a while!.

oh no, ur in a viscous binge cycle!!!. up! ur! intake! and! stop! restricting!. i can’t stress this enough please. if u struggle with binging (purging) restricting, please listen. u NEED to eat at maintenance for a while and STOP SKIPPING BREAKFAST.

i’ll post a thread with my work outs later!. second to lose the stubborn fat i’d recommend being mindful of macro’s! u don’t have to necessarily track them but it does help a lot. there are 3 main macronutrients. fats, carbs and protein.

2. carbohydrates. function: building blocks, fuel and back up energy. carbs are 4kcal for 1g. carbs are NOT ur enemy! if anything, carbs are ur bodies preferred energy source. if ur trying to lose fat however, it’s better to keep ur carb intake moderate. u want ur body to use—.

i also want to mention that sustainable weight loss isn’t abt being “good” at it. it’s about routine and consistency! . once u develop good habits it’ll be easy and enjoyable. dw if u “mess up” every now and then, just stay consistent when u look at the bigger picture!.

eat mostly fats + protein + fiber (keeps u satisfied and satiated). if u feel like ur too low on energy u can up ur carb intake (go for mostly complex carbs). i usually aim for 33% fats, 33% carbs, 33% protein!. also <15g say fat, <20g of added sugar.

saturated fats & trans fat (unhealthy fats). -> usually solid at room temp. it is best to avoid these fats. they can lead to heart disease and health problems. ex. butter, dairy, palm & coconut oils, red meat.
