Transparency? Seriously? DOGE’s every action is cloaked in secrecy. They’ve physically occupied and sealed off a govt building floor where they work, eat, and sleep 24 hours/day. They’ve gained access to or hacked several of our computer-based financial and security systems, despite having no security clearances. They’ve issued no public reports about their actions and they refuse to allow even members of Congress to enter the building. That’s the complete opposite of transparency.

Transparent? Surely you jest. Musk hired 5 very young computer hackers with shady cybercrime backgrounds and no security clearances to physically take over a govt building floor and refuse to allow anyone in while they hack into our most sensitive federal financial and security systems. Musk has given no reports to anyone on DOGE’s activities nor any justification for closing agencies or firing millions of employees. DOGE’s entire operation is cloaked in secrecy, to the point where they refuse to allow even members of Congress into the building. This is the complete opposite of transparency.

Our government hires federal employees to do the vast majority of work required to run a large country with a complex economy smoothly. These workers typically serve for many years under administrations from both major parties. They are our experienced and knowledgeable civil servants. The higher official posts like Congress and the POTUS/VP are elected. Cabinet positions and Supreme Court Justices are nominated by the president but must be confirmed by the Senate. The rest of higher govt positions are either elected or appointed. Rank and file civil servants are limited to authority over their own positions. They don’t make the rules — they carry out the rules. They are the servants of the people, not the enemies of the people. Elon Musk is the head of DOGE, a private advisory group to the president. Musk has NO authority over federal employees or federal funding. He has neither been elected nor officially appointed and confirmed by the Senate. Trump/Musk have run roughshod over the Constitution and broken a prodigious number of laws in a mere 3 weeks. There are DOZENS of lawsuits and several temporary restraining orders against DOGE as a result. That’s why people are upset about Musk being unelected. Every American should be concerned about a billionaire who has bought his way into our govt and is now trying to dismantle large pieces of it.
