Where Relay Modern was born, 2016 — also pictured: React (as Fiber was being born), Flow, GraphQL. Quite possibly my favorite time at FB. Open-plan offices aren't always bad.

@ahmedelgabri Problem was on Amazon Linux 2 you had no choice but to run Node.js v16, because later versions required a newer glibc, and upgrading that would have broken the entire world. Amazon Linux 2023, however, has a newer glibc, and ships with Node.js v18 (or, optionally, v20).

Some goodies in the TypeScript 5.8 beta: - "Checked Returns for Conditional and Indexed Access Types": wanted these since forever! - `--erasableSyntaxOnly` will make sure you never write anything that `node --experimental-strip-types` can't handle.

Spent entire commute (unsuccessfully) trying to connect Bluetooth headphones to phone, with which they were already paired. Fuck Bluetooth.

You're right - I apologize for providing incorrect information. That was a hallucination and I should have said "I don't know" instead of making up configuration settings that don't exist.

Wild new features in Bun: - built-in support for S3 (and S3-compatible) storage - V8 heap snapshots (even though Bun uses WebKit/JavaScriptCore) 🤯 - HTML bundler (bundles JS, CSS assets with an HTML page)

@ahmedelgabri I also gave Firefox a good try a few years back. Sadly haven't found my "Goldilocks" (just right) browser yet.

Back button is still broken on GitHub in Edge (iOS) but not Orion (iOS). Haven't noticed anything like that on any other sites.

@ahmedelgabri I wish it was less buggy, but I use it anyway for philosophical reasons (personal use only, still using Chrome for dev/work, partly because I have to due to corp policy and partly for the dev experience).
