ATC recordings confirm that pilots operating AS1282 did indeed declare a rapid decompression event earlier tonight. The aircraft was carrying 177 passengers. More to come as we receive information.

Have reached out to both Alaska Airlines and Boeing on this. The aircraft involved was a brand new 737 Max 9 delivered to the airline at the end of October. This is an extremely hazardous and also rare occurrence.

Interesting move here by LAX. I for one have always found terminal names super confusing!
LAX will rename its terminals, gates, people mover stations, and other facilities as part of a wayfinding enhancement program. Terminals 2 and 3 become Terminal 2/T2. Tom Bradley Terminal becomes Terminal 3/T3. People Mover stations get letters A-G.
