This is my last official tweet as AD. It has been an honor and privilege to serve the athletes. Mr Evdens and Mr Croy will take over this account. Feel free to follow me at
@kensears9
where I might be a bit more opinionated.
All after school practices are canceled for today. All games/matches are postponed until we can find acceptable make up dates. Please keep our community and students in your thoughts, it has been a very tough day for many people.
Our thoughts are with the Smith family and the entire Indian Creek community. I was fortunate enough to see this young man compete many times...he was and will continue to be an inspiration to everyone who hears his story. Rest in peace, Chase.
140 characters won´t work, so bear with me: Last night was so much more than just a football game. Football was the vessel that was needed to put our town and community in the spotlight that it has always wanted. For those of us who have been here for a while, we have always
What a pleasure it has been to watch
@TrayceJackson
compete as a Hoosier! I know we aren’t supposed to cheer for anything Center Grove around these parts 😉, but man what a great representative of Johnson County you have been, young man!
Breaking news: We would like to officially announce that Ms. Kellie Kirkhoff will be the new Head Coach of the Whiteland Girls Basketball team! Coach Kirkhoff will also teach math at WCHS. We are so excited to have her, I know she cant wait to get started!
This might the coolest thing I have had a chance to be a part of. We have a cafeteria full of former Whiteland Warriors who gave up a their Thanksgiving morning to show our kids how tight of a bond this place has! Thanks to
@KenSears9
for putting this together!
@WWarriorFB
Final: Valparaiso 35, Whiteland 31…what a great day to be a Warrior. We can’t thank the Whiteland community enough for your support not only tonight, but all year.
Tonight we will leave the lights on in honor of Owen Valley HS baseball coach Ryan Wilcoxen. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the entire Spencer-Owen community. Thank you for your dedication to your athletes and the game we all love so much.

Quinten Gillespie becomes the first WCHS tennis player to advance to the State Finals with his 6-4,6-2 regional championship win today! Big time, Q...big time!!
Congratulations to Coach Darrin Fisher on being named the 2022
@MidStateConf
Football Coach of the Year at last night's Fall Coaches Banquet. We are fortunate to have such a strong leader of young men in charge of our football program!
Congratulations and best of luck to the Marching Warriors as the perform at the annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade! Big shout out to them for taking a second to send a message back home, this is what it’s all about:
@whitelandband
My man,
@tacroy4
was honored at graduation today with the Holly Harlow Award. Those of you who know Mrs. Harlow, know what an inspiration she was and continues to be for our community. Mr. Croy, is a perfect choice for this honor…proud and thankful for you, Sir!
Unfortunately, an injury caused the match and Quinten's season to end. Beyond proud of this young man, he battled, it was 3-3 at the time match was called. Not sure I've seen a tougher performance from any kid. Much respect, Quinten Gillespie.
Will Jefferson's 14:59.6 today breaks school record by 27 seconds, course record by 12 seconds, and rumor is its fastest time in nation up to this point! Not a bad day...
It is with a heavy heart to announce that one of the toughest Warriors I have ever met, Melissa Johnson (Liffick) passed away. Those of you who know the Liffick family know just how much they have been through in recent years, our thoughts and prayers go out to them all.
Things are a bit crazy right now, but don't forget to breath, pause, and focus on the positives! We can only control what we can control, Warriors...we will get through this!!
p.s. Happy sweet 16,
@AmeliaEdens
Happiest of birthdays to the man, they myth, the legend….Mr.Croy! There is such a positive buzz around this place right now, and Mr. Croy is such a huge part of that! Outside of being the best Assistant AD in the business, his positively and “humor” is infectious! Cheers my man!
The support of this community never ceases to amaze me! However at this point, logistics are finalized, buses booked, meals planned, etc...the only help we need is for you to make the trip down I-69 tonight and show out for these kids...LET'S GO!!
These are the things that no one sees, done by the kids who do them because it’s the right thing to do! I received this email from the
@IHSAA1
last night! Folks, we have some really, really good kids…very proud of you
@Whiteland_Tribe
Thank-you,
@MHSBeMOORE
for reporting this!
I want to personally thank everyone who has reached out and checked on our community, those who have not yet slept and been helping others and those who have been keeping us updated on what needs to be done. Here is an example of what i have been receiving all day:
Congratulations to Coach Mitchell (Softball) and Coach Bangel (Girl’s track) on being named Mid-State Coaches of the Year at tonight’s
@MidStateConf
Spring awards banquet!
For the first time since 2007, Whiteland Softball can call themselves Sectional champions! Such a great team win! I have a feeling they aren’t satisfied yet!
Here we go! We would love to see as many of you as possible at 4:30pm to send our team off in style! Buses will leave WCHS and head via Whiteland Rd to I-65...if you can, line the streets and show your support! It's gonna be a great night for our town, can't wait to see you there
Alot of great WCHS athletes closed the book on their fall sport careers today. Congrats to Quinten Gillespie, Claire Overfelt, Alexa Brodnik, Lauren Fish, Hannah Parker, Heaven Smith and David Fox on four fantastic, memorable years! It's been a pleasure to watch you compete!
It's time to point out what a great year this guy had! His 20-21 accolades include:
*Boys Mid-State Coach of the Year
*IHSTeCA District 5 Coach of the Year
*IHSTeCA State Coach of the Year!
*WCHS Teacher of the Year
Congratulations, Mr. Gillespie...thank-you for your leadership!
Amelia Edens one again breaks her own school record! The first girls swimmer to break the minute mark in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 59.99 in the sectional final!
Attention Whiteland Athletes here is your challenge if you choose to accept it: As the snow accumulates, go out and help those who need it. Shoveling driveways, cleaning off cars, etc...small acts of kindness go a long way, Warriors!
@Whiteland_Tribe
Anyone who ever played a "last" game knows how much it hurts. Seniors, you accomplished so much in your 4 years. You showed our underclassmen what it means to overcome adversity and continue to excel. Your leadership will be missed. Never forget where you came from.
