is expected to begin a period of rapid intensification over the next 48hrs.
It'll be approaching the East Coast late next week.
If it does make landfall and head towards the Piedmont, flooding will be one of the big concerns around here.

UPDATED SNOW MAP (as of 10am Tuesday): The trend is the same, more snow east & less snow west. However, the chance of snow totals in excess of 2" has increased, especially near/east of the Triad.
