Tomorrow Mr Palmer retires after 33 years of teaching. We thank him for enriching the lives of our pupils by giving them an appreciation and understanding of art. We will miss him, his staff cards, and virtuoso performances on the guitar. We wish him a well-deserved retirement.

We are delighted to announce that; West Hill School has the 5th highest Progress 8 Score in the country for 11-16 all Boys’ Schools. We are the highest performing school in Tameside for boys’ progress and one of the highest in the North West.

Pupils from West Hill school were accused of pushing a girl into the canal on 21/06/18. The accusations against our pupils were false. We hope the girl and family receive the necessary support from her school, to help them through this difficult time.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mr Len Hill, Headmaster of this school from 1986 - 1994. Len joined West Hill in January 1959 and spent his entire career at the school. He will be fondly remembered by boys and staff alike.

The generosity of our boys and their families never ceases to amaze me. Yesterday, we were able to fill two cars with donations for a local foodbank. Kindness and supporting others is a key message here at West Hill and we are proud to say our boys didn't disappoint. Thank you!
