@CattleDog22 @Les_April Hello - the Northern Tornadoes Project is continuing to do research on the devastating derecho of 21 May 2022. Would you be able to tell me where these injuries took place? Just the cities or towns is enough. Thanks!

The NTP systematic satellite imagery review for 2024 also turned up 11 new tornadoes from 2013 to 2023! The following blog post provides details for these, as well as for a damage track reported on social media and confirmed by NTP as a tornado from 1988:
At the end of each year, NTP staff undertake a systematic review of satellite imagery to find any forest damage that may have been missed. In 2024, it turned up 14 new tornadoes. Add in a couple of stragglers, and the 2024 count goes up to 129! Details:

@SuperCellzWX From NTP database - Old farm house obliterated to foundation, trees sheared off with debarking, several outbuildings including a Quonset destroyed, grain storage bins and machinery damaged. Surprisingly, review of historical satellite imagery showed no evidence of the tornado.

@IsaacKrauss_Wx @tornado_easton Congrats guys - you found an F2 tornado with a 29 km length and a width of just over 1 km! Date/time appears to be 13 Jun 1988 at 00 UTC (so occurred on Jun 12 local). We'll add that to our database. Thanks.

@EthanBolziccoWX Yes. Meets FR12 DOD10 EXP, so 320 km/h. And EF5 in Canada is 315 km/h or higher. We donβt have the unfortunate 1 mph issue that the US implementation of the EF scale does.
