Most people had no problem with the civil rights consensus from 1964 and 2014 with its belief in equality not equity and simple injunctions against discrimination. DEI was just New Coke.

Also why a lot of constituents think their participation in Democracy begins and ends with voting every 2-4 years.
It makes total sense to me that Dems are pissed at constituents calling them to demand they do something about Trump. They believe the ultimate political achievement is for a Democrat to simply occupy an office so a Republican can't. In their minds they've already done their job.

@hulu_support It’s every TV show I watch. The part right before the last ad break. It’s usually just the last few seconds, but we’re clearly missing a joke or other tag. Then the last ad, then the final tiny scene or the credits. I have auto play turned off.

@Gooseberry_Stew @deray No, it’s not. Physiologically, getting treatment asap helps people survive. Don’t let your outdated ideas of crime and punishment fool you into thinking that an addict’s internal anatomy pauses its destruction as long as the addict is in prison. Silly thinking.

But you may have invested time and money in Gen AI, and your impulse will be to defend it. You won’t be able to, but you have to fake it bc of work. And you’ll know forever that you’re lying every day. Maybe that’s ok. Maybe AI will generate a soul for you, eventually.
