Us: We should tax the rich and fund basic services like education and healthcare. Them: Hysterical xenophobic racism. The politics of austerity have always gotten hand-in-hand with the politics of racial division.

Prior to 2023, Minnesota was experiencing a concerning rise in domestic out-migration. Then, in 2022, we elected a pro-revenue majority, raised taxes on large corporations, and invested in working Minnesotans. Now population growth is moving back in the right direction. 🙌😎

I’ve seen at least one person that didn’t understand that cutting public funding means cutting social security, medicare, medicaid, food stamps, public safety, free education, road upkeep, small business support and more. That’s a lot to give up to the billionaire class. Don’t.
