The disinformation targeting Chinese audiences aims to incite the anger of the Chinese, portraying the TW government as "cruel" while asserting that Chinese fishermen wanted "justice." It's noteworthy to see how the narrative resonated with the Chinese state media & government.
In the latest #TFCDisinfoDetector piece by @weipingli, we examine 3 themes of disinfo surrounding the Chinese fishing boat capsizing incident. Most false claims were primarily targeted at Chinese audiences & garnered minimal attention in Taiwanese society.
