We extend our sincere gratitude to all mentors and mentees for their invaluable contributions to the success of this event
The IEK Women Engineers Committee (@wec_theiek) hosted the Mentor-Mentee Meetup Walk today at Karura Forest. The event brought together mentors and mentees for a morning of insightful conversations, valuable connections, and shared inspiration. The walk provided an excellent opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, strengthen mentorship relationships, and foster a greater sense of community within the engineering profession. Additionally, the event championed gender inclusivity by bringing together individuals of all genders, promoting a mentorship culture that transcends boundaries.

@TheIEK @jumuiya @RwandaGov Tokenism hinders progress for women in the East Africa Community (@jumuiya). While some representation exists, real influence and support are often lacking. Assessment shows more needs to be done to address systemic barriers and ensure true gender equality.
