I hope #FCPS calls it for tomorrow. Early release is a nightmare. I’ll probably just call off. I’m not getting stuck so Michelle can feel good about opening up for day care.

I feel dread. It gets worse in the morning. It hits peak dread as I pull into the parking lot. Then, it hits resignation w/ a quick motivational speech to just get through the day. #HSS and #FCPS - not a great place to work (in my opinion).

Allegedly, the HSS principal is moving to central office. There has been no communication to staff, so maybe it’s untrue. #FCPS

If my child walked or rode the bus, they’d be home today. #FCPS

#FCPS, and surrounding counties, parents: Do not send your walkers or bus riders to school. It is so cold. My skin is burning & I am overdressed. This is another failure of the supt. I’m not surprised by her lack of concern for safety.

This is ridiculous. The days are in the calendar. They should have closed. There are so many walkers. They may not have appropriate attire. Additionally, there’s still so much ice. This county is a joke. #FCPS @fcpsnews

I wish we had a superintendent that prioritized students and staff over pleasing parents. It is way too cold outside. Schools should be closed. I should have taken off. #FCPS

There are so many parents on facebook saying that they’re keeping their kids home. Hopefully, #FCPS will change this call.

@lavawitch Someone sent me a pic that they saw on Facebook. It’s a road that’s covered in ice and snow. They said it’s an FCPS bus stop. Yikes!

Why must #FCPS wait so long to announce? Give families time to figure out what their plans are tomorrow and give staff time to put in for a sub (if needed).
