Started working on a dungeon generator for this month's challenge. The idea is to make dungeons "locally symmetrical" to add a hint of "handcraftedness"
Here is the first version of "Districts" which are meant to replace current "Neighborhoods". My goal is to implement better division of cities into more reasonably placed areas with mostly abstract names (instead of confusing descriptors like Gate and Craftsmen).
Pretty proud of myself for coming up with the idea of "looped voronoi" as a way to (greatly) optimise voronoi generation. The obvious drawback of looped voronoi is that it is repeating, and depending on the seeds and relative size of the “core”, this can be noticeable (image 2).
