Springs are Kashmir’s lifeline! At NLCO, we are going to get water of restored springs in Ganderbal (under Mission Ehsaas—a community effort) tested. Alarming reports on Anantnag’s springs remind us: protect these water sources, for saving springs means saving life.

In 2018, with KWT’s help, Chuntikul residents were moved to Bemina—highlighting the urgent need to revive our vital water stream. Ex-VC LC&MA said there’s a 3-tier plan with Tourism, Smart City & LC&MA. Hopeful for its restoration! Thanks, @arifscribe for the much needed article.

This is a great step, and kudos to ACP Zahid Khan for the prompt action. However, a one-time cleanup is not enough—we need a sustainable waste management system in rural areas. An audit, as you rightly pointed out, would ensure accountability and long-term impact. Authorities must take this issue seriously to prevent recurring pollution in such pristine locations.

Way to go! A great initiative by the youth of Muniwar!Every step towards a cleaner environment counts!
We, along with the youth of our village Muniwar, have started removing garbage from the banks of our stream to restore its beauty and preserve its clean water. A heartfelt thank you to Sajad Muniwardi , Jay Dee , Danish Salam, Nasar Ahmad, and their team for leading from the front. .
