Another winter and another set of young players starting their Walkovers cricket journey with a hardball course.
15 players aged 8 to 11 learning in a fun and safe environment.
We are lucky to have 5 coaching assistants giving up their free time to support the boys and club

We give all our juniors chance to play and develop their cricket skills.
We judge success by smiles, first wickets and parents feedback. Island selection is an added bonus
4 u11s and 6 u13s have been successful in recent trials.

What an unusual day for the club.
Mikey Pih hit his first ever 6 and had a strike rate over 100 to finish 75* in our 2s 6 wicket win over Farmers, and somehow we managed to win 4 out of 4 over the weekend.
Maybe Mikey needs to get hit in the head by a ball more often

Kev was a founding member and despite his illness he got loads wickets, scored a ton and had a safe pair of hands.

For the 1st time ever we had junior members representating Jersey at u11 and u13 and they absolutely loved beating Guernsey!

Our 1s finished their season yesterday with another trip to Guernsey for the CI League.
The team have progressed from last season. Some very close games which could have gone either way, experienced players joined and plenty of game time for our u19s.
