Now all those Azimio and other parties MPs who crossed over to benefit from KK's illegal majority should be declared unfit to hold public office for undermining Article 4(2) of the Constitution on multi-party democracy.

@ProfOjiendaTom Tom, wewe tutakusaidia aje? How long are you planning to be stuck on a non-applicable political question doctrine (PQD). It also should be an alarm that you think that the 2010 Constitution creates government and opposition sides in parliament. Huko tulitoka kitambo!

I hope, for once, Ruto's government will make the right decision on a critical foreign policy issue, support the spirit of Pan-Africanism and publicly register its solidarity with the people and govt of South Africa. @MusaliaMudavadi, @SingoeiAKorir

Media Statement 8 February 2025 Government of South Africa notes the USA Executive Order The government of South Africa has taken note of the latest executive order issued by President Trump. It is of great concern that the foundational premise of this order lacks factual accuracy and fails to recognize South Africa's profound and painful history of colonialism and apartheid. We are concerned by what seems to be a campaign of misinformation and propaganda aimed at misrepresenting our great nation. It is disappointing to observe that such narratives seem to have found favour among decision-makers in the United States of America. It is ironic that the executive order makes provision for refugee status in the US for a group in South Africa that remains amongst the most economically privileged, while vulnerable people in the US from other parts of the world are being deported and denied asylum despite real hardship. We reiterate that South Africa remains committed to finding diplomatic solutions to any misunderstandings or disputes. President @WilliamsRuto needs to smell the coffee. The judiciary under the calamitous and clumsy leadership of CJ @CJMARTHAKOOME is after your blood and that of your government. Today, they slaughtered parliament. Tomorrow it will be you. Refusing to join the reform movement against JurisPESA courts will come to bite you! KOOME and her judges have a GRAND plan to DELEGITIMISE the executive and the legislature.

Ahmednasir, @Kenyajudiciary must continue nulling and voiding what the Constitution requires it to null and void. It especially must null and void with alacrity any attempts by Ruto and his cheerleaders to re-establish an imperial presidency.

@joshuamalidzo Kenya's Supreme Court really failed us in Hussein Khalid. Worse, I doubt that the Court appreciates how retrogressive its jurisprudence in Khalid and its overall jurisprudential posture on criminal law issues, is.

Yes, @Aaroncheruiyot, ordinarily Parliament refers to both Senate and NA. However, Katiba does have times when NA or Senate are interchanged for Parliament. E.g., when only NA has mandate to pass a law, the law is Parliament's not National Assembly's.

Learn some basic things. The case is about the National Assembly, NOT Parliament. The two cannot be interchanged.

Today's High Court decision finding a Speaker of Parliament cannot be a party official means... @HonWetangula & @HonAmasonKingi must deposit with the RPP their resignation notices as party leaders of FK and PAA right away failing which they cease to be Speakers forthwith.

Kimani Ichungwah and Wetangula should be made to refund all the monies and perks that were extended to Ichungwah for designation as majority leader. Because the two new the law, but they chose to use might and subterfuge to subvert the law.
